In Tete province, central Mozambique, malaria has been a growing concern, with around four hundred people diagnosed with the disease and sixteen deaths recorded this year.
According to the health authorities, as of May 11, cases and hospitalizations have increased, an alarming trend compared to the previous year. The lack of mosquito nets and the delay in seeking medical attention have been identified as factors contributing to the worsening situation.
