Four police officers allegedly shot and killed a 12-year-old child in Maputo province during a chase, using a private car, of the vehicle in which the minor was traveling with his parents to Manica province in central Mozambique.
After the incident, a Mozambican police officer was lynched by locals, causing social unrest, with vehicles burned and National Road 1, the country’s main land route, blocked, announced the General Command of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) in a statement.
